GVCC Workshop Series – Press Release
This press release was one of several documents I created for my 2015 internship at the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC). The press release was to provide information to community members about the three upcoming technology workshops taking place at the Fall 2015 [Small Business] Workshop Series.
The challenge I had with this press release was that I originally didn’t know what the presenters were going to discuss in their workshops. I did research on each topic, but was never given the chance to contact the speaker. Before submitting the final press release, I went over the information for each workshop with my internship director to be sure it was accurate. From this experience, I learned it’s important to maintain communication in order to present accurate information.
